Fisher (Commercial or Local): "I’ve seen more algae in the water lately, and fewer fish. My catches are shrinking, and I depend on this to support my family. If nutrient pollution keeps ruining the water quality, I won’t be able to make a living. We need clean water to keep fish alive. Fertiliser from farms shouldn't destroy that.“ Scientist: "The data is clear: too much nitrogen and phosphorus in water causes algal blooms and kills marine life. But there are solutions—like using less fertilizer, planting buffer strips, or rotating crops. I believe we can help both the environment and farmers if we use science to guide smarter choices.“ Government Official: "I have to balance many needs: farmers need to earn a living, people want affordable food, but we also must protect our water. Some citizens demand new laws to stop pollution, while others say we need fewer regulations. What’s the fairest way forward? Should we create incentives, or enforce strict limits?"
