Deep Dive: Exploring eutrophication – polluting with too much of a good thing This work is one of a series intended to assist in the teaching of ocean literacy and allied aspects of environmental education applied to freshwaters, such as lakes and reservoirs. It targets investigations on a very common type of pollution called ‘eutrophication’. While much of the teaching material provided here can be used to support various lessons, the final section requires the use of a simulation model . This model enables the students to experiment with a simple representation of the real world, to explore for themselves what the consequences of eutrophication are. Dive in: Flynn, K. J. (2024).
